Following the regulations of the international convention of the STCW or Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering programs of Misamis University is compliant with the requirements set by the commission on Higher Education and the Maritime Industry Authority.
The Misamis University Maritime Education has complied with CHED MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 20 SERIES 2015 which calls for standardization of policies and guidelines for the offering of the BSMT and BSMARE programs.
This recognition means that Misamis University is on the right track in providing quality maritime education, an evidence of continued commitment to quality education.
